Azfar Malik, MD, MBA, DFAPA

Azfar M. Malik, MD, MBA, DFAPA, is a board-certified psychiatrist. He is the Chief of Staff and Chief Executive Officer of CenterPointe Hospital in St. Charles, MO.

Dr. Malik earned his Doctor of Medicine in 1978 from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. He is licensed by the state of Missouri and certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He earned his Masters in Business Administration from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo.

Dr. Malik is the Chairman Board of Directors as well as the Principal Investigator and President of Psych Care, LLC. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Psychiatry Department at St. Louis University Health Science Center. Dr. Malik has been on numerous Speaker Panels and Advisory boards for pharmaceutical companies involving psychiatric medications. He has also been involved in multiple clinical research trials for psychiatric disorders.

Shazia Malik, M.D.

Medical Director, Outpatient Services at CenterPointe’s South St. Louis County office, located at 5000 Cedar Plaza (63128). The south county location has been in operation since 2004. Dr. Malik is board-certified in adult psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine (consultation-liaison psychiatry). She completed her residency in adult psychiatry at Saint Louis University Health Sciences Center in 1997. She earned her medical degree from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan in 1988. In addition to her appointment at CenterPointe Hospital, Dr. Malik also is a

member of Psych Care Consultants in St. Louis. In May 2008, Dr. Malik became a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. Among her areas of interest are women’s behavioral health issues, mood disorders, chemical dependency with special emphasis on dually diagnosed illnesses and psychopharmacology. She resides in West St. Louis County.

 

Katie Wilson, M.D.

Katie Wilson, MD is a staff psychiatrist for child and adolescent outpatient services at CenterPointe Hospital. She earned her medical degree at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Winston-Salem, NC, and completed a general psychiatry residency and child psychiatry fellowship at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Wilson is in private practice with Psych Care Consultants.

Bello Adejoh, M.D.

Bello Adejoh, MD, serves as medical director for the evening addiction treatment outpatient program at CenterPointe’s St. Peters location. Dr. Adejoh is a psychiatrist with prior extensive experience in General Medical Practice. After earning his medical degree at Ahmadu Bello University in Nigeria, he completed his general psychiatric residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and a Fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Bronx Lebanon Medical Center. Dr. Adejoh has considerable psychiatric experience in multiple settings, including consultancy to nursing homes and residential are facilities, medical directorship of hospital psychiatric units, staff psychiatrist to correctional institutions, and state hospitals for long-term psychiatric treatment.

 

Satish Kulkarni, M.D.

As Medical Director of Senior Psychiatric Services, Dr. Kulkarni has extensive experience in psychiatric disorders among seniors. From 1999 to 2002, he was Director of Geriatric Psychiatry Services and Associate Medical Director for Deaconess Cross Pointe in Evansville. He also was the Director of Geriatric Psychiatry Services at Wirth Regional Hospital in Oakland City, IN. He also provided care at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, MO, serving as co-Medical Director of the Adult Stress Unit and then Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry in the mid-1990s. Board-certfied by the American Board of

Psychiatry and Neurology as well as the American Board of Acupuncture Medicine, Dr. Kulkarni earned his medical degree from Karnatak University in Belgaum, India in 1972. In addition to his appointment at CenterPointe, Dr. Kulkarni also is a member of Psych Care Consultants, the region’s largest psychiatric private group practice. Prior to joining CenterPointe, he served as the Medical Director for Consolidated Behavioral Health Services in Evansville, IN.

David Ohlms, M.D.

Medical Director of Chemical Dependency Services at CenterPointe Hospital in St. Charles, Mo. Dr. Ohlms, a psychiatrist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of addiction disease, also is President of Mid-County Physicians, a private practice group focused on providing behavioral health services, and Vice President of the Ohlms Institute, a consulting and training organization that provides clinical and professional services for physicians, therapists, educators, parents and individuals. A native Missourian, Dr. Ohlms is an internationally respected psychiatrist who lectures on multiple issues related to chemical dependency. He earned his certification in addiction medicine from the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) in 1986 and was appointed a Fellow of the Society in 1997. In 2006, he was named a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He has been in private practice since 1972. Dr. Ohlms is a strong advocate of continuing education and training in the field of addiction medicine. He has written and produced numerous informational training videos for professionals and published more than 200 articles on such topics as alcoholism, chemical dependency, and prescription/illicit drug abuse. In addition to his responsibilities at CenterPointe Hospital, Dr. Ohlms serves as the Medical Director for the Anheuser-Busch Employee Assistance Program. He earned his medical degree from University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and completed a residency in psychiatry at the University of Missouri-Columbia, Missouri Institute of Psychiatry. Dr. Ohlms is licensed to practice in both Missouri and Texas.

 

Georgia Jones, M.D.

Georgia A. Jones, M.D., is a board certified psychiatrist. She serves as the Medical Director of CenterPointe Hospital IOP/PHP in Washington , MO.

Dr. Jones earned her Doctor of Medicine in 1977 from St. Louis University Medical School . She is licensed by the state of Missouri and certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Dr. Jones is in Private Practice with Psych Care Consultants, an Evaluating Psychiatrist at Forest Park Medical Clinic, and also teaches Family Practice and Internal Medicine to Residents at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center.

Jeffrey S. Pevnick, M.D.

Jeffery S. Pevnick, M.D., is a board certified psychiatrist. He is the Medical Director of the Outpatient IOP/PHP Program at CenterPointe Hospital in South County, Mo.

Dr. Pevnick earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Missouri in 1973. He is licensed by the state of Missouri and certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Dr. Pevnick has written numerous journal articles throughout his professional career. He was also the recipient of the Pelican Award from Alexian Brothers Hospital in 1997.

 

M. Javed Qasim, M.D.

M. Javed Qasim, M.D., is a psychiatrist specializing in geriatric psychiatric disorders. He is the Medical Director of the Adult Inpatient Unit at CenterPointe Hospital in St. Charles, Mo.

Dr. Qasim earned his M.D. in 1978 from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan and is licensed in the state of Missouri.

Dr. Qasim has written numerous publications throughout his professional career as well as making multiple presentations. He has also served on many hospital appointed committees.

Ashok Yanamadala, M.D.

Ashok Yanamadala, MD, is a psychiatrist specializing in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatric disorders. He is the Medical Director of the Inpatient Acute Child Unit at CenterPointe Hospital in St. Charles, Mo.
Dr. Yanamadala earned his Doctor of Medicine in 1993 from the Medical College of Virginia at University of Virginia. He is licensed by the state of Missouri.
Dr. Yanamadala received numerous academic awards while in school. He was also nominated for the American Psychiatric Association-Mead Johnson Fellowship by the Psychiatry Department at the University of Texas Medical Branch.

 

Raafea F. Malik, M.D.

Raafea F. Malik, M.D., is medical director for adult psychiatry and dual diagnosis at CenterPointe’s St. Peters outpatient location, 4905 Mexico Road, Suite 100. Dr. Malik is board-certified in psychiatry and addiction psychiatry. She completed her residency in adult psychiatry at Saint Louis University Health Sciences Center in 1996. She earned her medical degree from Punjab Medial College in Faisalabad,Pakistan, in 1987.

In addition to her position at CenterPointe Hospital, Dr. Malik is in private practice with Psych CareConsultants. She is assistant clinical professor for the deparatment of psychiatry and human behavior atSaint Louis University Health Sciences Center where she also supervises psychatry residents.

Dr. Malik resides in West St. Louis County.
