Azfar Malik, M.D., MBA, DFAPA
Azfar M. Malik, MD, MBA, DFAPA, is a board-certified psychiatrist. He is the Chief Medical Officer at CenterPointe Hospital.
Dr. Malik earned his Doctor of Medicine in 1978 from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. He is licensed by the state of Missouri and certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He earned his Master’s in Business Administration from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo.
Dr. Malik is the Principal Investigator and President of Psych Care Consultants, LLC. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Psychiatry Department at St. Louis University Health Science Center. He has also been involved in multiple clinical research trials for psychiatric disorders.
Satish Kulkarni, M.D.
As Medical Director of Senior Psychiatric Services, Dr. Kulkarni has extensive experience in psychiatric disorders among seniors. From 1999 to 2002, he was Director of Geriatric Psychiatry Services and Associate Medical Director for Deaconess Cross Pointe in Evansville. He was the Director of Geriatric Psychiatry Services at Wirth Regional Hospital in Oakland City, IN. Dr. Kulkarni provided care at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, MO, serving as co-Medical Director of the Adult Stress Unit and then Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry in the mid-1990s.
Dr. Kulnarni provides Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) at CenterPointe Hospital and has completed the NeuroStar clinical training program and is authorized to provide TMS. Dr. Kulkarni is also the Medical Director of the Progressive Partial Hospitalization Program at CenterPointe.
Board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, as well as by the American Board of Acupuncture Medicine, Dr. Kulkarni earned his medical degree from Karnatak University in Belgaum, India in 1972.
In addition to his appointment at CenterPointe, Dr. Kulkarni also is a member of Psych Care Consultants, the region’s largest psychiatric private group practice. Prior to joining CenterPointe, he served as the Medical Director for Consolidated Behavioral Health Services in Evansville, IN.
M. Javed Qasim, M.D.
Javed Qasim, M.D., is a psychiatrist specializing in geriatric psychiatric disorders. He is the Medical Director of the Adult Inpatient Unit at CenterPointe Hospital in St. Charles, Mo.
Dr. Qasim earned his M.D. in 1978 from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan and is licensed in the state of Missouri.
Dr. Qasim has written numerous publications throughout his professional career as well as making multiple presentations. He has also served on many hospital appointed committees.
Ashok Yanamadala, M.D.
Ashok Yanamadala, M.D., is Medical Director and Psychiatrist for the Adolescent Unit at CenterPointe Hospital in St. Charles, Missouri.
Dr. Yanamadala earned his Doctor of Medicine in 1993 from the Medical College of Virginia at University of Virginia. He is licensed by the state of Missouri.
Dr. Yanamadala received numerous academic awards while in school. He was also nominated for the American Psychiatric Association-Mead Johnson Fellowship by the Psychiatry Department at the University of Texas Medical Branch.
Raafea F. Malik, M.D.
Raafea F. Malik, MD is the Medical Director for the Addiction Treatment Center at CenterPointe Hospital and the Medical Director for the adult psychiatry and dual diagnosis at CenterPointe’s St. Peters outpatient program.
Dr. Malik is board-certified in psychiatry and addiction psychiatry. She completed her residency in adult psychiatry at Saint Louis University Health Sciences Center in 1996. She earned her medical degree from Punjab Medial College in Faisalabad,Pakistan, in 1987.
She is assistant clinical professor for the Deparatment of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Saint Louis University Health Sciences Center where she also supervises psychiatry residents.
Rohit Pawar, M.D., MS
Rohit Pawar, MD, MS is the co-Medical Director of the CenterPointe Hospital Inpatient Adolescent Unit. Dr. Pawar is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, specializing in child and adolescent psychiatry.
Dr. Pawar completed a fellowship at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Division of Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri and a residency program at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He earned a Medical Degree from Miraj Medical Colleg/Shivaji University and a Master’s Degree in Physiology (Biology) from Brody School of Medicine/East Carolina University.
Dr Pawar has been involved in several clinical trials and statistical research and has written numerous publications.
Georgia Jones, M.D.
Georgia A. Jones, M.D., is a board certified psychiatrist. She serves as the Medical Director of CenterPointe Hospital IOP in Washington, MO.
Dr. Jones earned her Doctor of Medicine in 1977 from St. Louis University Medical School. She is licensed by the state of Missouri and certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Jones is in Private Practice with Psych Care Consultants, and also teaches Family Practice and Internal Medicine to Residents at Mercy Medical Center.
Dr. Rolando Larice, M.D.
Rolando Larice, M.D. is the Medical Director of St. Peters Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient. He is in private practice with Psych Care Consultants in CenterPointe’s St. Louis West County Outpatient Clinic.
Dr. Larice earned a medical degree at Nordestana University Medical School in Dominican Republic. He completed fellowships and residency training at Yale University School of Medicine, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department at Austin State Hospital, and Commonwealth of Puerto Rico Psychiatric Hospital Puerto Rico Institute of Psychiatric Resident Training.
Jeffrey S. Pevnick, M.D.
Jeffery S. Pevnick, M.D., is a board certified psychiatrist. He is the Medical Director of the Outpatient IOP/PHP Program at CenterPointe Hospital in South County, Mo.
Dr. Pevnick earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Missouri in 1973. He is licensed by the state of Missouri and certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Pevnick has written numerous journal articles throughout his professional career. He was also the recipient of the Pelican Award from Alexian Brothers Hospital in 1997.
Shazia Malik, M.D.
Dr. Shazia Malik is the Medical Director of CenterPointe Hospital’s South St. Louis County Outpatient Services since 2004.
Dr. Malik is board-certified in adult psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine (consultation-liaison psychiatry). She completed her residency in adult psychiatry at Saint Louis University Health Sciences Center in 1997. She earned her medical degree from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan in 1988.
In addition to her appointment at CenterPointe Hospital, Dr. Malik also is a member of Psych Care Consultants in St. Louis. In May 2008, Dr. Malik became a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. Among her areas of interest are women’s behavioral health issues, mood disorders, chemical dependency with special emphasis on dually diagnosed illnesses and psychopharmacology.
