Azfar Malik, MD, Chief Medical Officer of CenterPointe Hospital and President of CenterPointe Behavioral Health System, was the recipient of the Pioneer of the Year Award by the Asian American Chamber of Commerce on May 7, 2019.
Dr. Malik is a Founder of CenterPointe Hospital and served as its CEO from 2003 to 2015, as well as the CEO of Signature Psychiatric Hospital in Kansas City; Founder and CEO of Psych Care Consultants, LLC, a premier psychiatric group practice; and Founder and CEO of Sunshine Homes.
Dr. Malik is highly regarded as an innovator, educator and leader in the behavioral health field and has been recognized throughout his career with many prestigious honors including the Mortimer Goodwin Award and Heroes in the Fight Award.
