TRAINING OBJECTIVES: Participants will learn two models to apply in ethical decision making in professional practice. Participants will increase awareness of personal values, biases and ascribed meaning and how these factors may influence assessment and intervention. Participants will learn practice behaviors that reflect Trauma-Informed, Ethical and Professional Practice (CSWE, 2018). Participants will learn about “Graduated Disengagement” (Kisthardt, 1993) and how this concept may serve to address boundary concerns in clinical practice.
CONTINUING EDUCATION: 3 ETHICS CEs for Social Workers, Licensed Professional Counselors and Addiction Counselors. All participants will receive a certificate of attendance at the completion of the training to submit to their respective licensing boards.
