This presentation will discuss why building a life can be more effective than fixing obsessive-compulsive disorder. The presenter will talk about how feeling obsessive-compulsive disorder gave him his life back and developed him powerfully from within. He will also discuss his experience with mental health professionals that have done and continue to do their inner work.

About the Presenter: Ms. Lander-Goldberg earned her master’s degree in social work from Washington University in St. Louis in 2003. She is a licensed clinical social worker specializing in eating disorders, depression, infertility, self-harm, grief and loss with adolescent and adult females. Ms. Lander-Goldberg often incorporates expressive therapy techniques such as journaling, photography and art into her work with clients. She has more than 20 years of experience conducting expressive workshops in a variety of settings including psychiatric hospitals, schools for at-risk youth and residential treatment centers throughout the Midwest.
