PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Being able to acknowledge the warning signs and know how to handle suicidal ideation is key to this program. The RockSTAR program also allows individuals the ability to talk about a sensitive subject in an up-to-date way. The purpose of The RockSTAR Program is to educate individuals on the signs of suicide, techniques of intervention, and awareness of the suicide epidemic. Awareness equals Prevention.
ABOUT THE PRESENTER: Keitt Stathem, MA, LPC, resides in St. Charles, Missouri where she currently works at Center-Pointe Hospital as the Lead Therapist in the Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program.
Keitt received her Master’s degree from Roosevelt University in Chicago and has utilized her EMDR training throughout her career working with adults and adolescents.
Keitt created the RockSTAR Pro-gram 12 years ago and has presented at many conferences in the United States as well as overseas.
CEUs: 2.0 CEUs for Suicide Prevention will be awarded to Missouri Social Workers, Missouri Counselors and Missouri Addiction Counselors at the completion of the lecture. A Certificate of Attendance verifying 2.0 clock hours will be awarded to other disciplines to submit to their respective licensing boards.
