The Stepping Stones behavioral health treatment program for adolescents at CenterPointe Hospital, in the St. Louis region, offers a unique adolescent inpatient program to help teens ages 12 through 17 who are struggling with emotional problems and substance abuse. CenterPointe provides an ideal place for teens who are struggling with the challenges faced by our youth today. Our physicians and clinicians have proudly served and successfully treated hundreds of teens and their loved ones facing crisis situations.
Each teen is immediately assessed and stabilized by our caring and competent team of psychiatrists, nurses, pediatricians, licensed social workers, and therapists. When the teen has been stabilized, we will work with the child and his or her family to create a plan of care.
Our adolescent treatment team has created a healing, stable, and safe environment that will allow the teen to recover, develop insights into his or her challenges, and learn the skills needed to lead a happy, healthy life. Each teen will be offered a variety of therapeutic techniques to assist in his or her recovery. These may include individual therapy, group therapy, life skills training, and family sessions. At CenterPointe, we’ll help your teen reach his or her maximum potential and heal from the challenges associated with being a teenager.

I can’t thank the doctors and staff on the adolescent unit enough for helping my teenage son resolve his anger and confusion. He had lost all interest in school and was making poor decisions that could have led to permanent damage. I am so happy to have my son back!
